1990 - 2000
During the 1990s the Evoluon was used as the Philips Competence Centre. A new wing was added for the Philips Hall, a state-of-the-art auditorium with an impressive entrance hall.
Inside the building five additional conference halls and four luxury VIP suites were created, whilst the self-service cafeteria was converted into a high-class restaurant. A new office wing was added in 1994, giving the Evoluon its present form.
The Evoluon became a symbol of the new Philips. It was with great pride that the company held the large reception party to mark its centenary here in the Evoluon.
The plans for the new Evoluon continued to develop. By the end of the ’90s there were advanced plans to expand the Evoluon with the addition of new office complexes to accommodate the Philips Nederland sales organisation.
